Master Barber Harold Ray McDonald, Sr. is no run-of-the-mill barber.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, a servant’s heart, and a passion for going above and
beyond the call of service, Harold has established himself as a pre-eminent celebrity barber, traveling
specialist and respected industry leader.
After graduating with honors from David’s Head College of Hair Design, Harold opened up his own
salon, Mr. Ray’s Barber and Beauty Salon, which proudly catered to an upscale professional clientele.
In 2003, after relocating to Dallas, Texas, Harold increased his celebrity cliental base at Genesis Hair
Salon. Due to customer demand, Harold started his own business, Your Excellency International
Barbering Specialist, which provides traveling barber, image consultant and concierge services.
Based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, Harold’s talent, work ethic and genuine desire to help
others have earned him a loyal and international client following that includes high-profile public
figures, world-renowned motivational speakers, Grammy Award winners, and professional athletes.
Harold’s work has been featured on the Bravo television network and in numerous magazines,
including Upscale, Ebony, and In-House. His specialties include signature razor cutting, shaves, and
corrective cutting—skills he perfected working adjacent to some of the most respected Master
Barbers in the industry.
With a passion for being more than a barber, Harold is committed to making a difference in his
community, in his profession, and in the lives of the clients he serves as a role model, counselor,
mentor, and motivator.
Not one to sit back and wait for someone else to take the initiative, Harold is proud to have
spearheaded a group of celebrity barbers at a mega-conference that was available to service over
150,000 attendees; formed his own non-profit community organization, Psalms of Creation;
partnered with the Interfaith Housing Coalition and Salvation Army of Arlington.
Recognizing the importance of staying ahead of the learning curve, Harold is currently pursuing his
certification in Trichology, a branch of medicine that deals with the scientific study of the health of
the hair and scalp.
Harold is only at the beginning of his master piece design. At the demand of his upscale clientele,
Harold is soon scheduled to open his own private Grooming Salon for Men in Fort Worth. Harold
strives to create a man’s haven, the atmosphere for business and the opportunity to network with
potential partnerships.
